Announcment: AI Week at the Ramp-Up Factory

Dive into the fascinating world of Industry 4.0 on May 23, 2025, and discover how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing welding processes! As part of the Family Day during RWTH AI Week, we offer exciting tours where you can experience live how AI-based approaches optimize quality assurance in thermal joining processes.

In the context of the NuMA 4.X project, WZL is investigating together with prominent representatives from industry how the next level of digitalization can be designed in terms of resilience and sustainability. For this purpose, a demonstrator for an automated welding joining process has been set up in the Ramp-Up Factory, enabling live predictions of weld seam quality based on process data.

The tours will take place between 3 PM and 5 PM and last approximately 15 to 25 minutes. They will be offered in both German and English and are particularly suitable for young adults and adults without age restrictions.
